Hello dear friends!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Borys Zhytnigor. I live in Ukraine and I am a member of the governing bodies of several British and American organizations. I am engaged in science, I am a professional lawyer, economist and manager. I have scientific doctoral degrees. One of the main areas of my activity is the creation, organization and implementation of international scientific, human rights and commercial projects. As part of these initiatives, I have to write many original texts of different genres: educational materials, presentations, analytics, journalism, prose and even poetry. This blog publishes my modest work in the field of literary creativity. My native languages ​​are Russian and Ukrainian. But I also love English, which I often have to use in my work. My English, unfortunately, is not perfect. Sometimes my texts are translated by professional translators. Therefore, please do not judge strictly.

Hypothetics: Emotional science

Quite often people say that science lacks emotionality. Usually these words mean that only sober and cold mind is the only possible generator of interesting new ideas and the basis for intellectual development of the personality and the society. The intellect free from emotional sensitivity would probably be a perfect instrument of cognitive activity, but such intellect is not something that a human being has. The magnificent nature of any individual assumes the original combination of biological and social essences, unified by the outstanding kaleidoscope of inclinations, thoughts, feelings, preferences, and aspirations… A human being without feelings is not an individual. Personal emotionality together with the creative intelligence is a priceless contribution of this small and living a short life creature into the formation of the vastness of the universe.

Science has always been emotional, even at times when its sensual contents are not obvious and measurable from outside. Moreover, the ideology of science and its progressive impulses are always filled with the emotional charge, which dignifies and improves the society, and builds the potential for its future development. One only has to wish to understand… and feel this.

We offer you to take a look at the short stories presented through the words and images. We dare to hope that they can possibly touch something inside you, something close to creation, something called science.

As to the genre of this book, it’s actually quite difficult to be absolutely sure… In my stories you can find the well-known historical facts together with the subjective intuitive understanding of the historical atmosphere, assumptions and pure fiction. That is why it’s quite difficult to say whether these events actually took place in the past or not. But if these events did take place, then they have undoubtedly made their contribution into the complex formation of the social mentality, culture and ethics. Even if none of this has actually happened in the past, their description is the side product of the historical process – fiction, and we could probably find very similar stories in the annals of the centuries-old social memory. After all, the essence of events is always there for us, but it becomes clear and open in different forms only as our mind and spirit develop enough to understand this information…

I will be sincerely happy, if this book appears to be interesting first of all to persons inclined to search for the essence of things independently. I hope that my modest creative efforts will help some of you understand the peculiarities of the scientific process hidden from the eyes of the general public. I wish every reader of this book came to understanding that science is not just a set of knowledge, historical facts and well-known names. First of all it is about fates, creativity, failures and success of actually quite simple people. Simple, but inquisitive, diligent, purposeful, progressive, originally thinking, constantly expanding the borders of their knowledge and ready to sacrifice themselves for the sake of knowledge. It took a lot of work and efforts to bring the greatness and achievements of these individuals to the general recognition. Gradually overcoming the numerous obstacles on their way these people did their best to transform and improve the surrounding reality.
